How To Navigate The Clickbank Marketplace

Navigating The Clickbank Marketplace

Utilizing the Clickbank Marketplace is a good way to find a niche market that you can make some money with. However you need to know how to use it to its fullest potential. There is a lot of data stored there and it is categorized by a lot of symbols and acronyms.

However without getting into a lot of depth about what every single piece of data means, I’d rather focus on the information that I consider vital to picking the right product to promote. So let’s take a look at how we pick products from the Clickbank Marketplace.

1. How Much Are We Going To Get Paid: This is our first eliminating criteria. I know how much work that we are going to put into this. So I am not interested in promoting a product that we’re not going to make decent money on. So I only look at products wherein I make $35.00 or more per sale,

2. Are Other People Making Money With It: I look at the percentage of other affiliates making money with the product. This is called the referral rate. I look for products that have in excess of 55% referred sales. This means that most of the sales are coming from other affiliates and not just from the vendor

3. Is The Product’s Market Commercially Viable: I then will go over to Google and Yahoo to do a keyword search and look for “sponsored listings”. If I see very few “sponsored listings” then it tells me that more than likely people aren’t promoting the product because they are not making any money with it.

4. Is The Product’s Market Of Sufficient Size: I don’t want to promote a product wherein only 10 people per month are looking for it. It has to be large enough to warrant my participation

5. Landing Page Review: Next thing I would do is review the vendor’s landing page. Trust me, there are some really sad landing pages out there. Here’s a good caveat to remember. If the landing page doesn’t make you feel like you’d be interested in the product then more than likely nobody else will be either. The landing page has to grab me for me to participate.

Notice what I don’t look at? I don’t pay attention to the gravity score. Why? I don’t know why someone else did not make a sale nor do I care to find out. I know my promotional methods and I know what I will do to market the product. There are a lot of hacks out there who have no idea what they are doing and just because they crashed and burned does not mean I will. So I don’t bother with the gravity score.

Think of it this way, I have gone to and enjoyed a lot of movies that others have panned. Conversely I have seen some really crappy movies that critics say stink. I don’t pay attention to critics. They don’t know what I like.
